Mike-

I make most of my own outdoor gear it's another hobby of mine and making the bag is a great first project. I would take a look at the www.thru-hiker.com website. Look under work shop and he's got some easy to follow directions on how to make stuff sacks. He also sells fabric and is happy to answer any questions.

Okay, Mike S -- you have shamed me into getting a sewing machine. Been wanting to make our own curtains for the Westy anyway. Both the originals and the new Sunbrella set we got from GoWesty are a fairly dark material. Mrs Squirrel always thought the inside could use some brightening up. A cheerful butter yellow or maybe white with happy red flowers or something like that.*
