Usually on this day, and a few other holidays I would turn on my SAE 2400L (300Wx2) amplifier and play two pieces of music:

Anchors Aweigh - 1907 by Charles Zimmerman/Capt. Alfred Miles The Stars and Stripes Forever - 1896 by John Philip Sousa

What I have is a recording called Marcho Marches, performed by Cleveland Symphonic Winds, conducted by Frederick Fennell and recorded in 1979.

I bought this record in 1981 when I was in Ohio. I have treasured it since then. These two pieces of music make July 4th a perfect day.

Unfortunately I won't be able to do it today. I broke my amplifier yesterday. One side the sound is garbled. I don't think I can fix it in time.

Happy July 4th everyone.

David
