When I got my '82 in 2002, the fabric, though intact, was rotten and subject to very easy tearing due to years of ultra-violet light exposure and weathering. I got a new "tent" from GoWesty and changed it out myself. It was difficult, but entirely possible, by carefully following directions. I've been pleased with the results ever since and proud of having done it myself. You may need to go that route.

Hello All, I am a new member to the mailing list! I am quite impressed by it, and hope to contribute to it, when I gain a little more knowledge! I am an excited new owner of a 83 westi. She needs a name, and a lot of work. My first task is to give her a complete, well deserved, “make-over” (major interior clean-up) I found some dry rot on the fabric of the pop-top. It’s black. I am not sure how to go about removing the ungodly stain. Is there any way to remove the stain without removing the fabric? (That looks like quite the endeavour.). Thanks! Marie, Yukon Territory Happy 4th of July to all my neighbours “down South”! _________________________________________________________________ Soyez parmi les premiers à essayer Windows Live Mail. http://ideas.live.com/programpage.aspx?versionId=5d21c51a-b161-4314-9b0e-491 1fb2b2e6d
