Never mind that fact that barbecuing and grilling are two entirely different things, regardless of the many ways of generating the heat. I suppose that you could say 'barbecue grill' in reference to the actual metal bars on which you barbecue, but otherwise saying 'barbecue grill' is much like saying 'boil fry', and when most folks say 'barbecue grill' they are referring to the doohickey on which they cook their 'burgs and dogs (which is grilling- bbq sauce does not count). But I suppose even the most obtuse would find 'grill grill' objectionable.

But don't mind me, I'm just procrastinating; I have to put a Quadrajet back on a Chevy 305 before I head over to my folks to for a BBQ, at which I will be grilling some barbecued ribs. : - ]
