If the fabric is still strong and fresh, you can clean it with normal cleaning agents. They often get pinched by the pop top and discolored from the rubber. It is a two person job where one holds a board on the inside and the other guy is cleaning on the outside with soap and water and brushing. The fabric is thin and maybe week now, being old, so be careful not to overdo the scrubbing. Of course, the best is to take the whole top off and clean everything inside and out. Only its a pain to screw all the little screws back to place again, not to mention how heavy the whole thing is. Also a two person job, preferably. Hello All,

I am a new member to the mailing list! I am quite impressed by it, and hope to contribute to it, when I gain a little more knowledge!

I am an excited new owner of a 83 westi. She needs a name, and a lot of work.

My first task is to give her a complete, well deserved, “make-over” (major interior clean-up) I found some dry rot on the fabric of the pop-top. It’s black. I am not sure how to go about removing the ungodly stain.

Is there any way to remove the stain without removing the fabric? (That looks like quite the endeavour.).

Thanks!

Marie, Yukon Territory

Happy 4th of July to all my neighbours “down South”! _________________________________________________________________ Soyez parmi les premiers à essayer Windows Live Mail. http://ideas.live.com/programpage.aspx?versionId=5d21c51a-b161-4314-9b0e-4911fb2b2e6d
