Loren and you are not alone in having the liquid spurt out :). I use green food color in the water, so I had green water all over the place the first time. And of course now you know that once it spurts out, you have to re-fill the tube to the 0 level. Just to be sure, now I put a rag loosely over the end until it settles down. It is my understanding that the regulators come from the factory pre-set to 11" WC. It requires a hex key to turn the regulator, forget which size.
