Just left Van. two hours ago. Man that Peace Arch is NOT VERY Peaceful...

MOA (Museum of Anthropology) out on the UBC campus. A must see if you are interested in First Nation art. Vancouver Art Museum currently has a nice show on loan from Cleveland. Monet to Dali <http://www.vanartgallery.bc.ca/the_exhibitions/exhibit_monet.html>

I love biking in the city and around Stanley Park. Gastown is a bit touristy, but interesting. Yaletown is nice for galleries and swank. Lots of live music. Adrian Sherwood and Lee Scratch Perry are there in a couple of days. Granville Island is worth a visit for the market. Juniors World Cup Soccer is there now too. <http://www.fifa.com/u20worldcup/index.html>

Got time to hit Whistler? 2 hrs north on beautiful (under construction Hwy 99). Best Mountain biking in the World there and many other (possibly expensive) distractions. Squamish sure is booming with the pre Olympic fever. Great climbing and biking there too.

No shortage on Vanagons in the PNW! I think Portland is the Capital, but Seattle, Bellingham and BC are pretty rich with van content.
