Got inspired today to make a flyer to put on all Vanagon's that I can
find to let them know about the fuel line issue. The flyer had 3 photos
of burning vans and some info. In 1/2 hour drive around town I found 9
Vanagon's belonging to 7 owners. Talked to one owner who has 3 westies
who is a retired fireman. Car fires? BTDT! He said he takes good care
of his Westies and loves them like most of us do, but could not say
that he replaced fuel lines in any of them. He had no idea about this
problem but had heard of fires in Vanagon's that he thought were caused
by the catalytic converter. Maybe this will help sway a few volks to
get the fuel lines done.
