Well I did the Bentley troubleshooting procedure last night and today
(backwards I pulled the cluster and tested it inside last night). When
doing the instrument cluster troubleshooting I get 0.73 volts at terminals 2
& 3. I read this as 0 volts and either faulty printed circuit or control
unit. (right?) Today I look under the "hood" and see evidence of some past
trauma to the pressure switch harness connector. It is mickey-moused with
duct tape and what not. When I put the key in the on position the warning
led lights and then goes out. When I start the engine and disconnect and
ground the .3 bar wire the light comes on, when I disconnect the .9 bar wire
and rev the engine.....nothing. Since my tach doesnt work, my speedo is
held on with one screw, and a mounting tab is broke off the cluster I think
my best bet is to find a good cluster. I readily admit I don't know how to
trace the printed circuit for continuity. Am I sounding reasonable? Does
anyone have a good cluster for sale?
Ryan
