Let us know how it works out.  I ordered one the other day from  alleuropeanautoparts.com for $260 plus a $200 core charge, which is a Maval rebuild.  I was under the mistaken notion that only Maval did the vanagon rack, since it seems all our vendors use the Maval rack.
