>>My Ford F350 4WD Powerstroke gets better mpg than that... even when towing a >>Vanagon. >> >>It even sits 6 (crew cab). Uh-huh. An average naturally-aspirated 2.0 diesel sedan won't do better than 30mpg around or out of town if driven hard. Based on 14 years' experiance with them. Out 2.2 midengined turbodiesel Toyota Estima (narrow-bodied "Previa") seats 8 in comfort. A 89-94 Hiace van can seat up to 12 in comfort, depending on wheelbase (2.8 diesel SWB 7-seaters are becoming available in Canada exJapan, though why the 3.0 turbodiesel isn't offered I dunno), and the current one can seat more. -- Andrew Grebneff Dunedin New Zealand Fossil preparator <andrew.grebneff@stonebow.otago.ac.nz> Seashell, Macintosh, VW/Toyota van nut |
