It really depends on the radio. If you have lighted display you have to turn it off some how. If the radio only needs a low power trigger to activate it, then you can connect the trigger to the key in ignition chime. Key out, radio off. Key in and turned, radio on until key is removed again. A switch can slow be installed for that function. Some aftermarket radios will have a switch built in to allow for use on an un-switched circuit. Dennis
