For a long time, my gutter trim kept peeling back from the front corner by the windshield. I figured to replace it but I didn't like all the trims that I looked at as replacement trims. Most had a separate end piece that had to be held with a screw. That didn't sit well. What to do? Solution. I pulled the trim back a bit, then cleaned the groove in the trim with a scraping tool, and then cleaned the metal strip the trim mounts on very thoroughly with MEK. Al old tar/glue was removed. The I squirted "Plumber's GOOP" into the trim groove, and shoved it down tight onto the metal trim mount. That trim strip has not moved since. Plumber's GOOP works.
