The popup roof on my 89 Westy is slightly out of alignment, so that the roof does not lay flat--it's higher on the drivers side. I figured it was due the canvas tent not compressing enough, but that's not it. From the rear of the van, I can see that the popup roof is skewed more to the right at the front, and more to the right of center. I'm assuming that adjustment is done at the rear hinges, but figured I'd ask before I start messing around with things. I'm thinking there's probably some elongated holes for the hinges, and it's simply a matter of loosening the bolts to the hinge and then repositioning things? I've never really done this, so figured somebody else might be able to offer some suggestions before I make a mess of things. Can one person handle this? Any specific steps to follow? Troy 89 Westy |
