Hi all,
The Previous Owner of my Vanagon had put wood inside in the rear. Here are
a couple of pics: http://picasaweb.google.com/syncronicity1/Syncro_Interior
It appears to be some type of very thin plywood, replaced the panels on the
left and on the sliding door, and also the seat panel.
Just showing as an example, it adds a nice touch of warmth to the 'living
room'.

I love woodworking. I, too, may turn my Westy into a yacht, little by
little. On the practical side, I'll use laminates when possible because I'm
lazy and don't want to be worrying about nicks or scratches. I don't think
I'll skin the rear seat panel, as I plan to make slip covers with ruffles
or skirts for the seats. I got a cover for my dash. It's in great
condition. The cover is to preserve it.
