Patti, There are several recalls. You need to call VW and ask them which recalls were not applied to your Vanagon. They will ask for your VIN and then tell you which recalls your van needs. They will also provide you with the phone number for a dealer in your local.

i.e. My 88 Vanagon required the air conditioning duct support for the rear housing and the fuel line. The new fuel line has a plastic housing over the fuel line to insulate the fuel line against friction where the fuel line goes through the chassis.

If you'll call VW they will tell you which recalls were specifically for the 90 Vanagon. They will also tell you which recalls were applied to your Vanagon.

I don't usually take my Vanagon to the dealer for anything but the recalls had not been installed on my Vanagon so I did let them install the parts for the recalls. It's warranty work and they won't charge you anything.

Good luck JB
