I was wondering about this too, except do this with a 12V motor to drive the compressor.

or.....

use standard appropriate sized AC parts from a car/van, then set it all up somewhere in front of van, and drive the compressor with a 12V DC motor.

Or is there already an after market solution like this?

Has anyone tried this?
