See "Modifications". I've read about this before.. I wonder if most AC compressors could or could not be run on variable DC @ 120V from a near full fielded alternator. Voltage control under variable rpm and cycle timing control would be useful... which is hopefully what the below does (price unknown, and not yet available) it would be a great solution along with an extra alternator.

I'll ask them tomorrow what the expected price is for their unit along with the main unit. Maybe a group-buy could bring the price down if it's in the ballpark of reasonable to begin with.
