Subject: What is kept in my van..

Ellen's list is almost exactly what I keep stocked. Plus, coffee and two canned meals, like beef stew or Chili or a fuerte soup of some kind. I also keep a small bag of doggie treats, sport drink mixes and some spare batteries. One of my best recent camping tool discoveries is the LED headlamp! I have three, one for the van & one for each occupant. I have to fight to keep the van one inside as it often ends up on my shop bench or in my S.O.s horse trailer... Before winter comes again, I plan on building or finding an appropriate container for tire chains (to go in the rear left corner of the engine bay). Another camping improvement is going to be two spotlights mounted on the A-pillars. Had some on my splitty and they were very useful checking out primitive camp spots after dark, as aux. driving lights, for lighting up anything in camp, etc. I'll wire those into the extra battery, just in case of dumbness..
