Allot of State Parks from VA to MA that I have camped out did not allow it
though I have come across 1 that did.  I was camping in my old '72 Riviera
camper years ago and we were at Pokamoke state park in MD near Assateque.
He was the type that used to walk around with a beer can constantly. One day
we were walking to the pool at the campsite and I see a ranger coming up
behind us in a car.  My friend makes no attempt to hide the beer and even
takes a swig as the ranger pulled up next to us.  He then stops, leans out
of his car and says "You boys need a lift to the pool?".
