Hi,

660 watts is very weak for a microwave oven. It won't even cook popcorn because the corn scorches before it gets hot enough to pop. Most household microwave ovens are 1000 watts or more.

I think you can find dorm-sized microwave ovens in 850 watts. I don't know whether they run on 12V, though.
