Folks, my wife has been driving my sister's subaru for the past few days and is liking the small-car and modern safety aspect of the vehicle. But the milage at 22mpg SUCKS!

Since we can put a TDI into a vanagon, and a Subaru into a vanagon... can we put a TDI into a subaru? Or is there a diesel that WILL go into a subaru (Subaru legecy outback sort of rig. Not the rainbowphile Forester though).

Thanks matthew who WAS starting to convert he 91 carat 2wd to a syncro tdi.... ugh.

"may the four winds blow you safely home"
