Just a point or two on the fuel line business - and other Vanagon issues.

The biggest problem I have encountered on my own Vanagons has been pee-poor preventive maintenance by the PO. When I got them fro the PO, I went through a round of replacing fuel injector lines, fuel lines, coolant hoses, break lines, CV's, etc, etc, etc. Regular inspections of all fuel lines is definitely in order, because even new fuel lines, vibrate, chatter, and chafe, and can therefore develop leaks. Same is true for other parts. So definitely develop an inspection/ maintenance check schedule for your van. It will save you a lot of grief.

Regards,

John Rodgers 88 GL Driver
