Yeab, you are absolutely right. The insurance company has every reason to not put your conversion down on your policy, the fewer coverage the better. Why should they care? It is your car. It is your money. It is your liability. Their only interest is to get your money, not to write down the coverages for you.

Perhaps you can tell us a secret how to avoid paying the insurance company all together? If you do I will tell you how the insurance company will point their fingers on your subi engine for exchange.
