Let's forget this obsession with power for just a moment, I'll get back to it later.

I for one, prefer to look out the front window rather than stare at my instruments, and that's the main reason I converted to a TiiCo. I haven't looked back, either. (I'm looking at the scenery instead, remember?)

Sure, it's got more power than a 2.1- a screaming 28 more ponies @4800RPM and a whole 15 additional Lb/Ft of torque@ 3500. Not much to look at on paper, but lots better tractability, take my word for it. I don't have to turn the AC off before I take off from a light anymore. And gas mileage is better than the WBXers, I have hit 24.5MPG on a couple of occasions, but, in general, 19 or 20 is more like it.

Downside? I've got nearly 60,000 miles on this engine, and it's gonna need a timing belt before we head into Mexico with Frank C and his crasy Busesinzamora crew. Of course TiiCos have a few of their own foibles, but any one of them is easier to deal with than coolant spewing thousands of miles from home.
