In my case, here, up north, the metal ring at the end of each fuel rail is rotten. Second, if you carefully look at your rail, look if they have somekind of "banana" shape, if they are not straight, time to find some new/good use one. Almost everytime i do a fuel line job and those are somewhat bent, they leak when i start the engine. I found out lately that when removing the old hoses from them there is good chance that one of the nipple can crack / small fissure.

Those are still available new. But i found out that seem to be more of a northern problem.

So be carefull when pulling the old hoses.
