Left Subi, clean with brake cleaner (not rusted at all), righ, an oily 2.0L AC VW one (this one as a funny story, it eaten the bearings, the engine was still working but knocking like hell, so yes, this VW rod is quite something) VW are casted, Subi, not sure but after a few test today, forged would be my choice. Not the point of my picture/post, at all, just a picture, that is all... the only thing sure is that the subi is half the size/weight of the very big VW one, but hey, there is 20 years between the 2! This is the frigging point of my post! it's interesting! nothing else, i'm not bitching VW AT ALL, but i'm also impress that the small Subi is that strong (i did some crazy testing today!). VW did a GREAT job! even if they simply upgraded their Air-Cool engine to water cool, it's still an amazing engine! It's just getting old, that is all. Ben
