That's what I was thinking too. Luggage rack area. Not sure if Vanagon roof area under luggage rack will properly support 18 Kg. i.e wouldn't flex too much. Yah, I didn't realize (read!) that it needs the AC to DC converter kit. Though it's listed as drawing 30-40 amps!
