>> I'm not sure that the Dometic 'fridge in our Westies are that bad, when and if they are working right. <<
My fridge has always worked great. Lights right up on propane and always keeps my beer very cold. I have taken it out a few times to clean it though BTW, using the instructions on the list. My only complaint is when I run on battery when driving then park, I'll flip the battery/water indicator light and my battery always has the red light after having the fridge on with motor running. I noticed that when I first bought the van so I used to drive and have it running on propane but I've since read the dangers of having the tank turned on while driving so I don't do it anymore. Lately I've just plugged it in AC a day before leaving, stuffed it with cold food then turned it off for the drive. Saves the battery and it comes back up to operating temp soon after arriving at my destination. Bryan |
