I found one that fitted on a rod in an old dot matrix printer - for what
it's worth.  Sorry I can't be more help than that.  Similar ones you'll find
in some laser printers.

Subject: Auto tranny shifter cable circlip size?

Hello all. Does anyone know the size of a circlip that holds the  
shifter cable onto the auto tranny? I’m not seeing anything in the  
archives. The dealer wants $10+ and 4 days. I lost mine when pulling  
the tranny and the wife understandably doesn’t want to drive the van  
anymore since it has a tendency to fall off requiring a quick trip  
under the van to fix.

If I had a size, I’d love to send my wife out the the local tacoma  
screw to pick up a few and try them out but I have no idea on the size.
