I have asked this same question a few timesand I got the same advice Bryan and BenT have given above. Do the prep work yourself. Remove everything yourself. Research the shops before you decide on one. I heard a few horror stories but most everyone else said you get what you pay for - in this case a decent but not a great paint job. I personally could live with that.

I was close to doing this a while back on my 85' - things change though. I now have a friend who has a ton of experience and is willing to help me do both the body work and the paint job on the 90' when the time comes.

Good luck.
