Not a problem for the residual oil to mix with the MT. I run the stuff in my van.

I recommend that you change the tranny oil every two years. These oils are made of chines of molecule and over time the chains get broken up. As that happens they slowly lose their ability to cling to the gear surfaces, so you lose the wear protection over time.
