Subject: Fuel line replacment.
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="Windows-1252"

Two weeks ago, I replaced my fuel lines. Got the hose from a reputable (non-chain) FLAPs. Different counterman than I usually see, this guy was pretty dull. So, I made do with an 'murikan size hose. Got all new SS hose clamps and proceeded to go under and eat lottsa dirt, get it in my eyes, and get all greasy up to my elbows, fishing that new line all around into a safe route.. Then, I saw a post on our list about 'dummies' who can't read...and fuel line replacement..."Hmmm," I think, "Did I really get Fuel injection-rated line, or low pressure?"...So, I find the leftover piece and read "Not for fuel injection" right on the hose...Dummie me.. So today, back under..And, this time I got an eyefull of gasoline as I pulled the line off the outflow side of the filter...But, that aside... In just one week, that cheapie line had expanded and got all weird feeling.. Glad I didn't let it go too much longer... This time, I used, as a rub-shield, some irrigation tubing..fits over the line and seems like it is going to work just fine to help with abrasion. Cheap and easy to cut... Don Hanson
