Subject: Hot Foot Relief-Heater valve

http://www.obsolyte.com/personal/vanagon_heater_1.jpgThis is not the valve I used but is precisely a great example of the Terry K model I just installed. IT WORKS!!! Use whatever you want but if you want Terry's, go here and scroll down just a little: http://community-2.webtv.net/VanStuff/VanagonWestfalia/ No, I'm not on commission! I've been procrastinating doing something about "hot foot" and now that I have I'm like a recently-stopped-smoker ... proscelitizing. ;>) I like the much shorter handle/knob on Terry's as it's out of sight, easy to turn, takes up no space in that tight space. The air coming in through that lower vent is actually only fresh air and for whatever oddball reason, feels cooler than the ambient coming in my window? Do this. Get one. You can either take that heater duct off or take 10 seconds and remove the glove box and do it from there. Very easy to switch back to heat when needed. Bob Stevens ...
