Well, groovy .....................on the LeSharo. < or I could say - 'oh, you got a LeSharo - I'm so sorry ! :) >

If it has a manual trans and gets stuck in a gear, ( manual trans ) it's because ball bearings fell out of the bearing cage at the rear of the trans, and jammed in the shift linkage.

While you're under there, marvel at the cables....yes, actual very heavy duty cables, like half inch or bigger, that keep the engine from moving too far in a crash.... At least the Diesel version has that. You can fix the bearing thing just by pulling the end cover on the trans.

Feuds ....oh boy ! I can hardly wait ! Being an engine conversion specialists.

e-groups are like bars - each has their own flavor and ambiance and type of cliental. I'm not sure what to say about the Gerry vanagon group.

As long as there is freedom of speech - that would be my main wish. No flaming of course - but 'lively debate' ...I *love* Lively Debate. ( and it's a shame some people get upset just because someone else has a different opinion or doesn't agree. Let us not do that. )

I recently bought a LeSharo, built by Winnebago 1982-92, front cab and front wheel drive by Renault. Mine is an 88 "petrol engine." 4 cylinder, 2.2 Litres . They made the Diesel and TD until 87. Makes our 90 MV seem fast but we have lots of space now. MPG is almost what a Vanagon gets. We are thrilled with it. http://www.promartech.co.uk/lesharo_pics/brochure_1988/wa5340b.jpg

You will be happy to know that engine conversion choices cause feuds on the discussion group forums each time the topic is mentioned!
