I tried once asking the list to clarify the numer. The answer was 50 NM or 38 ftlb. I torqued my head nuts to 50 nm and it has held up through my trip to Yosemite. I went up to 10,000 ft summit. As of today (2 or 3 weeks later) there is still no loss of coolant nor any loss of oil.
