The temp 2 sensor has nothing to do with gauge reading. The single wire
sensor near it is the gauge sensor. By any chance is the fuel gauge
reading higher than normal? If so you may have a bad gauge voltage
regulator or it is loose and losing the ground contact. It is located on
the back of the instrument cluster.

i did finally measure it at 200* at the hottest point on the engine after
driving around for a bit. But from what i understand, thats not even ALL
that hott. My guage is nearly maxed out. I'll try putting my old Temp 2
Sensor back on and seeing if that makes a difference.
