The linked article describes the method used to observe leaks in the propane torches: "The units were tested by fitting them to a 0.34 kilogram Primus cylinder part-filled with propane and then immersing in water. A graduated glass cylinder was used to collect and measure any leakage observed."

I wish I could think of a practical way to apply this test method to Mellow Yellow's tank and associated bits!
