Yep, that was the line I got from the seller. He said the boots were installed in-correct, "the air has to bled out of them".

So I ask: Then why did one outer boot fail and one inner? Why not all 4 on my vehicle? I installed them all the same...

And- Why didn't the replacement Meistersatz boots fail? I installed those just the same as the Rockfords.. Come to think of it, why didn't the boots on my Merkur, Mercedes or Audis fail if I don't know how to install them? (None were manufactured by Rockford). Just a note- the Rockford install was not my first attempt at installing CV boots. I didn't "learn" on this project.

I think it's safe to say the material properties of the Rockford boots were sub-standard.

The rockford boots are heavier & are harder to get on I wonder if the bad results are some install issue ?
