At least it's not what happened to me a couple weeks ago while camping. When I turned the key to start the van, the tip of another key on the keyring went into the gap between the steering wheel and the column, neatly bridging the gap between the horn pad and the chassis. Hoooonnnnnnnnkkk! Oops -- Sorry!

I think it was just the previous evening that I had been griping about some nitwit who had repeatedly blipped their SUV's horn by locking and unlocking its doors while fetching things (Mr Squirrel's Campground Peeve #2).
