This is true. The thing I don't like the most is having to drive farther to turn around.

But the trailer is a tool- it enabled me to carry things on my trip for resale on ebay.

It's not for me a subsitute for the Rialta. My Westfalia is my everyday vehicle for 11 years now.

I just got a trailer last year, and I use it to haul parts, trash to the dump, etc.

Most of the people I know who travel with small trailers like them. More power in the Vanagon will help .

I hauled a drumset in it. WOuld it be advised I buy a Rialta so I could haul the drumset, play the drums in the Rialta, and take a shower in the Rialta after getting really sweaty from a 20 minute drum solo??

Actually that would be nice, but then after the band got bigger we would need a bigger RV.

So, the use of a trailer does not mean this is the evidence that one needs a bigger vehicle.

Go for the Rialta , though. I personally cannot stand them because they built them on the Eurovan instead of the Vanagon.
