Well, after talking to the folks at Go Westy and rethinking the symptoms, we have decided it must be a moisture issue. Has been running great on the highway... like a champ. Rough around town... but today we'll see if we can get it dried out a bit. Go Westy was really fun... looking at all those Westy's was really amusing. Saw the red syncro beast with the 2.5 up close... very nice restoration! Made us feel quite good about our $6K purchase!!! I'll post the concluding fix when we get to the bottom of this... after a few years in Phoenix the CA beaches have been wonderful to visit. Took the train into San Francisco yesterday. Tomorrow the redwoods! We purchased a memory foam mattress right before we left... absolutely a great investment! And it folds over really easily behind the seat so we didn't bother cutting it crossways. Seems to bounce back just fine after the luggage is removed. Mad Madeline
