Subject: Fuel Lines Replaced - Thanks

I think I started this topic awhile back when I inquired about whether the "fuel injection" hose I purchased was necessary or not. It seems the other store I was getting gas hoses from was selling me the regular stuff. After plenty of warnings and photos (thanks Ben) I decided to change all the lines. I ordered the kit from Ken Wilford but chickened out when it was time for me to do the install. I could already see myself breaking the fuel rail. The tow would have cost me what the mechanic would charge to do it. I took it to my mechanic (who generally rolls his eyes when he sees my van coming in) and actually said it was a good idea to replace them. When I spoke to him yesterday he said some of my old lines just "crumpled" off the connectors as opposed to having cut them off.

Quote from my mechanic "That was a good idea to replace the hoses, these things burn up all the time."

I'm glad I changed them.

Thanks again to this list.

Bryan
