Scrap Two of Us and sing Emmy Lou Harris's or George Benson's rendition of Here, There, and Everywhere. The Beatles did a crap job on that song and until I heard ELH do it on one of her early albums from the 70's, the song was completely unremarkable. Benson's version is a little more up tempo, but equally excellent.

Another great arrangement of a Beatles tune is Larry Carlton's "Things we said today"(which kinda fits a wedding sorta). You won't even recognize the song until a minute or so passes and you say to yourself," Oh yeah, that's a Beatles tune" His wife sings the lyrics and he does both electric and acoustic guitar on the cut. Prolly never hear that one live in concert though.

Things We Said Today is on his "Gift" CD Here There and Everywhere is on Emmy's "Elite Hotel" album CD whatever

Benson's version is on his "Tenderly" Album from 1989.

Vanagon content: I have versions of two of the three songs mentioned in the CD changer of my 90 GL and play them often. At 01:21 PM 7/26/2007, Brendan Slevin wrote:
