Andrew,

I have one of these. They are a "chrome" plastic and stick on with a magnet. I got it at www.stickergiant.com They have a few different variations of them and a lot of other cool stuff too. I also got a sticker showing the date of Bush's last day in office from there.

As for vandalisim no problems so far.
