Subject: Pop-up roof support/strut needed
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1

Hi folks:

I wrote in about a week ago for suggestions about how to align my pop-up roof, as it was sitting higher on the driver side than the passenger side, and also slightly off center. I was able to adjust the centering just fine, but discovered after closer inspection that the driver side strut/support appears to be bent, which is preventing the roof from sitting flat. It's maybe 3/4" too high.

Apparently, some where along the line somebody (a pesky PO) no doubt hit something while the top was up.

Sooooo, does anyone have a driver side pop-up roof support they would like to part with. Mine is from an 89, and I believe the original was probably like light gray, although it looks kind of a cream color. Not sure what the original color was. I may end up attempting to bend this back, but a replacement is preferable at this point.

Looked on the Samba, but no dice.

TIA,

Troy
