IIRC, those pieces aren't too visible no?

What aboot (CanCon) something else for support pieces?

Same as orig. dim. wood dowel or better, mild steel. Maybe there's Teflon in that dim. Cut, drill and you're off to the races! You have to drill, but this isn't tough. And you can paint the steel/wood whatever colour (more CanCon) you want!

I'd reccoment steel of Teflon over wood btw......
