If your friends were chased by a 'frothing right wing Christian', that had
to be the LAST right wing Christian left in Seattle, since this city is one
of the premier meccas for all things liberal!  Most likely your friend's
encounter originated as a despicable case of road rage aimed against
visitors unsure of their streets, and probably annoyed some short-tempered
loser (since THAT would be par for Seattle drivers.)  If your friends are
the left-wing opposite of your not-so-kind generality below, they should
feel more than welcome among Seattle's elite.

As the owner of the only Vanagon w/in 500-mile radius of Seattle with a
tiny, 1.5-inch 'traditional' fish decal down on the bottom corner of my
bumper (that I've replaced TWICE because it was pried off IN
Seattle-proper), I know very well, first-hand how this city treats those
with views opposing the 'popular majority' here.  Twice in the last 2 years,
I've witnessed the tiny fish on the bottom of my bumper stop people in their
tracks with comments such as (and these are exact quotes that I encountered
first-hand): "What an a$$h@le..." and "Wow, that's not something you see
every day"   -- one at a the VW show at Sandpoint last weekend.  I love it.
