DANG! Another "I just welded them on" answer. I can't weld, I don't own welding gear. I know that any man that can't weld isn't really a man, but I work with what I got. <<<

Yep, most welders can't bake bread. There is another method too. You know those knobby things that look like coat holders around where the seatbelt and grab straps are? Easy to salvage from a vanagon carcass. A penknife like the one you use to sharpen the Condor Quill pen will lift out the little centerpiece revealing a phillips type sheet metal screw. Set the drill to reverse and out it comes. With two of these or several around you can rig all sorts of interesting cordage. Or just get eight or ten of those niobium magnets and use em to secure a pareo in flamboyant or muted colors to the metal. Easy on Easy off. Leave the maggies where the are, they won't move much.

You could trade a few boules to a welder at Francois' Tri-Color Citroen shop to have the work done too. Jack at BRU in El Cajon could do the welding but I don't know if he fancies Alaskan Sourdough Heritage Boules.
