Mike, I'm using a group 41 automotive Kirkland battery from Costco for the moment. So far so good. It's warranted for 3 years, no questions asked, at any Costco in Canada, US & Mexico. I'm looking at an Odyssey PC 1200 as a possible substitute. I've had an Optima Yellow Top in there before but after having killed two of them, I give up ! The lantern is a favourite of Rita's collection of candle powered lanterns.
